KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 – Sustainable Energy Authority Development (SEDA) Malaysia donated packages of essential items to Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Jimah in Lukut, Negeri Sembilan through the ‘Tautan Kasih’ programme yesterday.
SEDA Malaysia in a statement said the ‘Tautan Kasih’ programme was one of the activities under its corporate social responsible (CSR) initiatives, aimed at reaching out to the communities and B40 group affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
During the event, SEDA Malaysia board member, SJ Usha Nandhini presented the donation consisting of electrical appliances, reading materials, dry food and daily necessities such as adult pampers and detergents to Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Jimah chairman, M. Perumal.
“We hope our contribution, even if only in some small way, will help alleviate the burden of those affected by the pandemic, including charitable homes. It requires the commitment and shared efforts of all strata of society, and we are all in this together,” said Usha Nandhini.
SEDA Malaysia, led by its board member Datuk Hang Tuah Din @ Mohamed Din also donated essentials to the frontliners in appreciation of their endless dedication and hard work in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic in several districts in Perak.
The donations are in the form of packed food, mineral water, face mask kits and Malaysian flags.
