THE Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia, will be organising the sixth International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) 2024, a cornerstone event for sustainable energy dialogue and innovation, on August 20-21, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
Hosted by the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry (PETRA), and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., the summit is themed “Accelerating Energy Transition Through Innovation”.
Scheduled to be officiated by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, ISES 2024 is a testament to Malaysia’s leadership in the Asean region’s sustainable energy transition.
The country has set an ambitious target to achieve a 70% renewable energy mix in its power generation by 2050. This goal aligns with Malaysia’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving carbon neutrality by the same year.
The summit will serve as a platform to further these objectives by fostering regional and global partnerships, sharing best practices, and showcasing the latest innovations in the field.
It will also include plenary sessions and deep dive workshops led by distinguished energy experts and leaders.
The sessions will explore a range of topics, including green mobility, grid modernisation, and the integration of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into investment and financing strategies.
