Clarifications to the Quota release for Biomass, Biogas and Small Hydro

Putrajaya, 8^th April 2020

Referring to the previous announcements by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia dated 22^nd January 2020, 13^th February 2020, 5^th March 2020 and on 26^th March 2020 in relation to the quota release for Biomass, Biogas and Small Hydro under the Feed-in Tariff program.

Please note that there are new updates on the terms & conditions for the e-Bidding mechanism for biogas and small hydro projects as follows: –

For Biogas e-bidding (Slide number 9)

• Limit to 10MW maximum installed capacity per application. One (1) application per project site and applicable for Biogas projects in Peninsular Malaysia

For Small Hydro e-bidding (Slide number 9)

• Limit to 30MW maximum installed capacity per application and applicable for Small Hydro projects in Peninsular Malaysia

This update is also applicable for the biomass quota release on 29 April 2020 whereby only projects in Peninsular Malaysia can apply for the Biomass FIT quota.
