Putrajaya, 25th July 2019: SEDA will be releasing the quota for Small Hydro (160MW) through the first e-bidding process on 2nd September – 17th September 2019.
The aim of the e-bidding system is to create a competitive landscape in Malaysia for better pricing efficiency for electricity generated from small hydro resources. Each application is capped at 30MW per location. The small hydro quota is for projects that will achieve commercial operations by H2, 2024.
