Trends of RE Technology Cost

Under the FiT mechanism, the trends of the renewable energy (RE) technology cost for will also be monitored. For example in the case of solar photovoltic (PV), the trends of RM per MW will be shown based on overall system, PV modules and inverters for system range of <4 kW, 4 to 24 kW, >24 to 72 kW, >72 kW to 1MW, >1 to 10 MW and >10 to 30 MW. The system range will be based on the Schedule to the RE Act 2011.

One of the objectives of this exercise is to monitor the unit cost trend during the FiT period. in addition, it is hoped that the information shared will benefit the RE industry players as well as individuals in providing a basis for the RE pricing trend in Malaysia.
