1% charge not aimed at unwary clients

 

TENAGA Nasional Bhd (TNB) would like to clarify recent allegations circulating in the social media relating to the 1% Renewable Energy (RE) Fund.

The 1% charge is not new and not a scheme to collect money from unwary customers as alleged.

TNB acts only as a collecting agent on behalf of Sustainable Energy Development Authority (Seda) for the RE Fund. Seda is under the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry.
