Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia is a statutory body formed under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011. The key role of SEDA Malaysia is to administer and manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff mechanism which is mandated under the Renewable Energy Act 2011.

We seek talented, dedicated, passionate, relentless, innovative and highly motivated individuals to join us in developing the renewable energy industry and enforcement of the Renewable Energy Act 2011 within a strong regulatory framework. Deputy Director (Infrastructure and Administration)


  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and any Professional Certificate in IT, Computer Science or related field of study will be advantageous;
  • At least 10-15 years of hands-on working experience in server, networking, security and storage;
  • Hands-on experience in Operating System Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Exchange, File Sharing, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft DNS;
  • Hands-on experience in Operating System Linux, Apache, Mysql, SSH, IPtables, SendMail, LDAP and Linux DNS;
  • Hands-on experience in Virtualization platform Microsoft HyperV, VMware and Thin Client;
  • Hands-on experience in managing Firewall, switch and Load Balancer;
  • Hands-on experience in wired and wireless networking;
  • Hands-on experience in Data Center monitoring system, network monitoring system, snmp etc. Familiar with product such as Cacti, Zabbix and Nagios; 
  • Hands-on experience in Backup and Restore for servers and data. Familiar with backup product such as Microsoft backup, Veritas, Bakbone and AhSay Cloud Backup;
  • Experience in developing Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery;
  • Knowledge in TCP/IP, network routing, packet inspection, VPN, web server, dns server, database server, fileserver, logserver;  
  • Knowledge of best practices for server, network, security, wan, lan, wireless and storage;
  • Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable, mission critical, datacenter with high performance, high reliability, and high capacity demands; and
  • Be a critical thinker and problem solver while considering technical and business needs, requirements and trade-offs.

  • Malaysian citizen;
  • Passionate on the subject matter of sustainable energy;
  • Have strong technical background;
  • Possess a good attitude, presentable and being confident;
  • Possess good interpersonal and good communication skills;
  • Organised, self -disciplined and good time management;
  • Meticulous in their work, with strong attention to details;
  • Accountable and with a strong sense of urgency;
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically;
  • Willing to learn and capable of executing any assignment given;
  • Highly motivated and self-starter that is able to work independently or as a team; and
  • Ability to work under pressure, long hours and with all stakeholders (e.g. Government, industry, public).
