Extension of Deadline for Solar PV Community Quota

Putrajaya, 25th August 2017: SEDA Malaysia wishes to announce that the deadline to apply for Solar PV Community Quota has been extended to 5pm, Friday, 29th December 2017 or until it is fully subscribed; whichever earlier due to overwhelming requests for extension from the public.

Applicants and their respective Service Providers are reminded to refer to the latest step-by-step guide (2017 edition) for application of the Solar PV Community Quota and to take note of the requirements and eligibility for application. The guide is downloadable from the following  link:  http://www.seda.gov.my/?omaneg=00010100000001010101000100001000000000000000000000&s=4992

Additionally, as prescribed under Section 17 of the RE Act 2011, applicants are reminded that the feed-in tariff shall be subjected to a degression commencing the 1st of every year. Therefore, applicants who choose to install and connect the solar PV installation the following year, for example, in year 2018, will have their FiT rates degressed by 10%-20% (based on the capacity and bonuses applied for). For more information or if further clarification is required on the applicable rates, please contact Mr Frederick Wong at 088 – 252 101 or email: frederick@seda.gov.my.
