YBhg. Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai was appointed as the Chairman of SEDA on 1st September 2013.
YBhg. Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai is the Deputy President of Parti Bersatu Sabah – a post he has held since 1994 . YBhg. Datuk Dr. Yee began his career as Medical Practitioners Defence Society and Medical Protection Society of London, United Kingdom. And he began his career in the civil service as the Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology Sabah . He has served as the Minister of Resource Development and Information from 2004 to 2013. He was also the former Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah from April 2011 till May 2013.
He was a Member of Parliament of Tanjong Aru from 1995 till 2004. YBhg. Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai also sat on the State Assemblyman Api-Api N.15 from 1999 till 2013.
He received his degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCH) from University of Wales and College of Medicine, United Kingdom. And he obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Hons), LLB (Hons) from University of Wales and College of Wales , United Kingdom.
YBhg. Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang is the Secretary General, Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Malaysia since August 2016, having served as Secretary General in the Ministry of Higher Education and Secretary General II, Ministry of Education Malaysia. He was the fifth Vice-Chancellor of University Technology Malaysia (since October 2008-May 2013) and the first recipient of the prestigious Merdeka Award for the category of Outstanding Scholastics Achievement in 2009.
His academic contributions are in the field of environmental management and technology, particularly water and waste-water treatment, sustainable resource strategies and industrial ecology. Apart from his academic involvement, he also served on various public agencies such as Chairman of Environmental Quality Council, Malaysia (since 2009), and member of National Water Services Commission (2007-2014).
YBhg. Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang has written more than 250 scientific papers published in leading academic journals and proceedings, and 33 books on environmental engineering, water sustainability, higher education and learning innovation.
He is also active in voluntary bodies as Vice-President of International Water Association (2004-2006), Editor of Water Science and Technology since 2000 and President Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia (2016).
He is a Fellow at the Swedish Royal Physiographic Society in Lund (Sweden), Fellow at the Science Academy (Malaysia) and Fellow at the Institute of Chemical Engineering (UK). He is also registered as a Professional Engineer (Malaysia), Chartered Engineer (UK), Chartered Scientist (UK), Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (UK). He was also a Visiting Professor at MIT (The United States), Imperial College London (UK), and Kyoto and Tokyo University Japan.
YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Salleh bin Mahmud was appointed as a Member of SEDA on 1st September 2011.
YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Salleh graduated with a Bachelor of Economics Degree in Accounting in 1975. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from University Kebangsaan Malaysia.
He started his career in 1976 in the Foreign Investment Committee, Economic Planning Unit of Prime Minister's Department before being transferred to Telekom Department in year 1980 as a Senior Accountant. He was made a Director of Pensions Division, Public Services Department in 1991.
YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Salleh was later appointed to be the Deputy Accountant General (Operations) from 1996 till March 2000, Deputy Accountant General (Management) from April 2000 till March 2005 before being appointed as Accountant General of Malaysia in March 2005. In February 2009, YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Salleh was conferred honorary membership of CPA Australia.
YBhg. Datuk Allauddin Bin Haji Anuar is currently the Deputy Director General (Sectoral) of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU). He has been serving in EPU for the past 18 years. Among of his main responsibilities includes evaluating and formulating policies, strategies as well as medium and long term sectoral programs to support economic growth and improving the wellbeing of Malaysia in many areas.
The areas covered Agrofood and agricultural commodities and agro-based industries; Infrastructure & utilities (roads, bridges, buildings, urban transport and rail, ports, civil aviation and water resources and sewerage); Social service namely health, housing, local government services, culture, arts and heritage, women, family and community development, youth and sport; Energy sector, particularly oil and gas, electricity and renewable energy (RE); and Security and public order.
YBhg. Datuk Allauddin holds a Bachelor Degree in Science Agribusiness from the Agriculture University Of Malaysia in 1983 and expanded her qualification Public Administration, obtaining a Diploma from the National Institute of Public Administration in 1985. He completed his Masters Degree in Business Administration from University of Illinois, USA in 1992. He also sits in the Melaka State Development Corporation, Labuan Corporation and Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA).
YBhg. Tan Sri Dato' Ir (Dr) Hj Ahmad Zaidee Bin Laidin was appointed as a member of Sustainable Energy Development Authority with effect from 1 February 2015.
He holds a Master in Science in Technological Economies (Management & Industrial Science), University of Stirling and is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Careerwise, he was an engineer in Lembaga Letrik Negara/Tenaga Nasional for 24 years. Subsequently, he was appointed as Director (1994), Rector,(1996) and the first Vice-Chancellor (1999) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
Professionally, he is a practising Electrical Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, as well as Academy of Sciences Malaysia and is currently serving in the councils of both bodies. He is the Past President of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Southeast Asia and the Pacific (FEISEAP) and a Past President of Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) as well as the Senior Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia.
Academically, he is a Council Member of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and a Board Member of Open University Malaysia and Meteor Learning Sdn. Bhd. He is also Chairman and Director of Malay Education and Development Research Institute, an NGO. He also serves on the Board of UNITEN. He was awarded the Degree of Doctor of the University by University of Stirling, the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Technology by Oxford Brookes University, and the Honorary Doctor of Letters by the Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as Honorary Professor of Napier University, United Kingdom. He was also awarded the Degree of Honorary Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from UiTM.
He was appointed Councillor of Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (2000-2002), Chairman of SIRIM Berhad (2001-2004), and Chairman of Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) (2005-2007). He was appointed to Chairman of the Board of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka in 2010.
He is currently a Board member YLI Holdings Berhad. He is also on the Board of Syarikat Mengurus Air Banjir & Terowong Sdn Bhd (SMART) and Chairman of ERINCO Sdn. Bhd.
Mr. Chan Cheu Leong was appointed as a Member of SEDA effective 1 February 2015. He is a Council Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (‘FMM”). He was also the former Vice President, Fiabci Malaysia Chapter (1993-1995). FIABCI is the French acronym of "Federation Internationale des Administrateurs de Bien-Conselis Immobiliers", translates as, "International Real Estate Federation".
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Engineering Production) University of Birmingham, England. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the London Business School, University of London.
He is currently the Managing Director/Group Chief Executive Officer of Wah Seong Corporation Bhd. which is an industrial group involved in the manufacturing and distribution of steel water pipes, gas pipes, steel pipe coating for oil and gas sector, building materials and engineering. He also sits on the Board of several private companies.
Mr. Chan’s previous experiences included positions as Managing Director at Tan & Tan Developments Berhad, a premier Property Group listed on KLSE and Group Executive Director at General Corporation Bhd which is a major conglomerate listed on KLSE with interests in property, construction, insurance, manufacturing, trading and plantation; instrumental in the listing of Malaysia British Assurance Bhd.
